What I am doing is 3d molding. I'm goanna make a medieval fantasy Armory with a forge included to add detail and some technical detail to make the models look distinct and more realistic.

the impression is a medieval fantasy Armory. 

 

one of the key features in Armory is the weapons and the forge implements winch is going to be a Japanese's bow sword shield and axe which will be mix with some alien like designs that can be in my own design the textures will mostly be be found form.

 

The reason I chose a medieval armoury is I couldn't do a regular one as I can’t do guns, so I decided to change to more a elder style to make things more simple and fun. one of many things I could not add due to that they were not good enough as they wear bad ideas that did not make scene are its Gunna to take too long to do.

 

The things I am going to do thou is working on textures for the models which will make my skills in 3d modelling even greater and make them sellable for the future of my career are make this a good hobby.

 

The first thing I need to find some good art of the things I need are find a good picture.

of send things which are still being found are I have seen something appear that caches my interest this project will make me try new things that gives me the chance to try, and I am happy for that. 

                                                                                                      

 

The texture software I'm goanna try is in Maya itself as I want to try how to work the bevel tool with the texture plats to make a nice looking textures on the modals I'm going to make this and how will I can get the shapes to meld in the right places in to one model so I can use as less models as possible .

 

I've needed I can add more I can meld sed model with changing of the lines that shapes the model I can mend new forms to make the model in to any shape i want are need as the only thing I can’t do is some shapes can’t be made dun due to some angels not being able to be done are something that can simply can’t be done.

 

Thus, I have to be careful on wear I place shapes as if I mess up and it’s too late to change, I’ll have to restart the hole part that needs redoing are needs to be deleted.

 

 

 

 




 


This is the bow that I'm Gunna use for the environment as it has a nice flow with its form and posture the style of the bow is a long bow a unique bow of the far east hat has a longer top compere to its bottom. it was essayer to use for horse back during war. In The armoury scene it will be on walls on bow racks and may be put on certain places to give it depth of a place that is ready to give solder weapons for war.

 

the general history of this bow was made for war mostly on horseback but was used on the ground as well .with the making of such war bows being complex and hard to make but was made in the masses during times of war .the bow was made mostly of bamboo and strong glue then drying and bending for days at a time with strong pegs to give its shape .

the oldest bow is could Yumi  the evil banishing bow used in 1103 ad it’s not known on ho made this bow but it was well known as one of the main weapons of the first emperor Jimmu and  further down the line of its history usually by the upper classes that can afford horses and those in the military service .

This is the first image of the weapon I'm making as it has the bend of the top half and in the making of the lower end for the bow to have its unique shape of a Japanese war bow. 



 

This is the full making of the bow without its textures as I made it by getting a cube and making a bow shape once that was done, I made one end smaller and the other longer then extended a new face to the back to give the bow its thickness and strength. making this module.

 

 



 

This is the texture for the bow, and this is I wanted to try by using substances painter and adobe photoshop to texture all of my 3d models. it is also working on how to manage these apps. 

 

 

 



 

 

This is the sword I am Gunna use to inspirer for the armoury I'm Gunna make for my 3d project.

This sword is just a standard katana form Japan its unique form gives something to admire to as its many forms and sizes can be a good sword to model for.

 

 

The history of this type of blade was during the war against the Mongols from 1274 to 1281 CE the blade was made to cut down the Mongols thick leather Armor. The crave of the blade is a natural case of the blades cooling effect of the forging process.

 

during the time the blades wear made it was mostly made for nobles during war are elite solder as a gift for they efforts in war. The model I am making with is Gunna be a straight version to give it a more modern look along without the sheath to save time and to give the look the swords are ready to go.

  

 






 

This is the failed version of the sword I'm making as first I wanted a bit of an alien look but decided to change to a straight form rather than an outlandish one.




This is the final model for the sword as I made the handle first then went down and made the base by spreading the pommel in to its shape which was the easy part .The hard part is making the blade which is in 2 parts one is making the shape by adding a new face and moving the shape up then you rotate the tip to get its point. The second part is adding the actual part of the blade first you select the each end of   the blade the select the faces then create new ones by shift c v then extend to the point you want to go to vertices then merge them with the centre tool making the blade and the bladed point.

 

 

 

 

  

 

This is the new sword that I hat to redo. Mistakes do happen in 3d modelling and this is one of them as the mistakes made wear the face margin withe the two faces and they wear edges that wear in the wrong place thou they can be fixed this example it hat to be redon as it wud be a waste to fix something that wade be easier to just to re do.



This is the third texture I made for the sword as this is was very fun as I did enjoy making the mix of the scale carbon and cobalt blue along with mixing a runic form on to the axe body to making it look magical





 

 



This a Japanese axe also known as ono these axes wear ever had thick blades are thin razer shapes blades. These war blades look fantastic for a medieval Armory I am making this axe will be one of the main pieces.



 

This is the model I have made for the axe and its definitely one of the essayist models I’ve made due to it only being one model as I only started with the pole then melded  the blade and spike then center the spike to gets it point the only thing that need to do is the texture.

 

 


This is the texture for the axe and this is the second one that i did but this is the first one that has the mix of the carbon scale mail black with a cobalt light blue this is my favorite peace of art although I cud do some improvements  on it by adding a type of shade to make it stand out that bit more to see

 

 

 

 



 

his is a Japanese Shield called Tate theses shields are used when they wear on horseback with their swords when they weren't using there spears are bows hay wear made to help defend themselves against pistols and arrows mostly made out of hard wood are bamboo with some metal parts those once gun become more used during war the shield die out and wear never used again.

 

 



 




This is the shield I have made for the armoury as I made some borders like shapes for the base of the shape then  by making the grip and the spine in once piece to make it eerier to patch to together  all together it’s not much to make but combing them is the hard part as each one of the boards needs to be in the right place otherwise it just docent work are it becomes useless .

 

 

 



 

This is the shield texture I am making for the 3d environment project. for this peace it’s not much and I just covered it with a black iron cobalt color with a scale mail like pattern to make it look like a more mystical metal with a nice eye pattern to give it more distinct look.

 The armory itself is gunna be in a small place wear a forge is gunna be the main peace to fix in the room with the weapons' are hanging in storage in different positions in the armory its nothing much but it will show a nice simple place wear weapons a stored and maintained .

 

 This is the forge on wear I'm gunna put as my center peace for the armory. this is just a peace I'm gunna use as my base thou I'm gunna add a bit of a roman style that's just more cubed then round along side is an anvil but I'm using a different texture style for this peace to try different things to see what's better are easier to use.

This is the model for the forge that I'm making for the armory making the model  3 pieces 2 being the chimneys one being the main top and bottom  they wasn't much to make but all I did is just  bend the shape in such a way to make it like  a chimney while I moulded the rest of the forge with ese like any another 3d model.

This is the first texture of the forge I'm making for the forge this method is a more direct than the other one wear you just put in adobe photoshop and manually putting a photo over to make the texture then refreshing the lambert to see wear the texture is and see I've was finish with he part are I've anything need tweaked.



This is the full thing and its easier then using substances painter but it dues has a lot of flaws one of which is you hat to make sure is that you don't merge the textures as doing so will make the entire thing a absolute mess so you haft to make sure that you don't mixed them together you be fine .

The other genuine problem is that you need to add many layers upon layers . in the end  they are other textures that are different to each other will overcome on another and destroying the models texture.

 






The final conclusion . This is the final conclusion and what I learned texturing models and learning the difficulties  on working on such things in the long term one of them is the fbx not working propyl and it took a long time to sort out as I had to get creative by sending it to another account to get it exported as that was the only thing that's wrong as I only hop we get better equipment and software that  wont brake down but it happens and I just need to make sure that everything works.
